Asher Maslan was born and raised in Richmond Virginia. Spending summers in Virginia Beach with grandparents, Asher spent most of his time at the ocean, cutting lawns and deep-sea fishing. At the age of 11, Asher moved to Los Angeles, California, where he attended the Brentwood school. Summers were spent volunteering at the nearby UCLA Medical Center, where Asher worked in medical labs in anticipation of a pre-med curriculum at The University of California, Santa Barbara. "After all of those lab hours, I was accepted to The College of Creative Studies at UCSB, where there were plenty more lab hours."

While at UCSB, Asher studied communications and Microbiology. Asher spent five years at UCSB surfing and studying and finally met Kristy, his wife. After attending University of California, Santa Barbara, he and his then girlfriend Kristy moved the Vail Valley. So once again feeling that calling, the short winter Asher and Kristy were to experience, has become a twelve year love of what they now call home. "We came out here and bought a small condo and began investing in condominiums and rehabbing their interiors. Upon acquiring more than four homes as rentals, it was necessary for Asher to obtain a real estate broker's license. Attending the Colorado Real Estate Institute, he earned his Independent Broker License. With his new license, Asher was quickly charged with developing a property management company. After two years of grueling property management, Asher went into real estate sales. Asher has most recently joined Forbes Sotheby's International Realty Group, coming from Slifer Smith and Frampton. "I was looking for a life-long location for my business where support is personal and success is mutually encouraged."

Asher and his wife Kristy, have been a part of the Vail Valley since 1991 and have been blessed with three great kids. Benjamin loves soccer, golf, hiking, swimming, but skiing the most. His sister Avery, of course, loves doing everything her big brother does. The third, Catherine, is still very young and making up her mind. "What free time we make for ourselves without the kids, we spend golfing, playing tennis and inviting friends and family over for BBQ's and parties." The family attends and supports The Trinity Church in Edwards.

Asher has been member and supporter of the local real estate community since 1994, and has enjoyed every minute of it. He is a member of the Vail Board of REALTORS® and enjoys volunteering for local causes. Asher actively pursues a higher education in real estate and has earned his GRI (graduate of the REALTOR® Institute) designation. Asher currently serves as a director for the Vail Board of REALTORS® as the Director of the Multiple Listing Service and soon will be the Chairman of the board. "I am looking forward to a long and prosperous career here with Forbes Sotheby's International Realty Group. While I was with a competing real estate company, Kraig Forbes was the best mentor I had ever found. Now I get to work along side and for him."
