$60 million transformation for the Western portal of Vail Mountain

Vail, Colo. - November 16, 2007 - To those in the market for a condominium attached to a luxury hotel in a private streamside location, gym, tennis and spa access, AND room service..the wait is over. Nestled at the West end of Vail Mountain along the banks of Gore Creek, Vail's new Cascade Residences attached to the Cascade Resort and Spa offers an authentic Vail mountain experience. On insert date this best-kept secret will begin its 60-million-dollar facelift and finally get the recognition it deserves.

"This 360° enhancement is answering the expectations of the increasing high-end market they want new, they want vistas, and they want direct lift access to the mountain. The Vail Cascade Village will surpass these desired standards with progressive, mountain-chic homes and amazing proximity to Vail," said Jean Mitchell, a broker with Sonnenalp Real Estate.

Part of Vail Cascade's facelift will be realized in the new $30 million ski-in/ski-out Cascade Residences. The Residences were home to both the Cascade Village Theater and Community College and soon will have 14 new luxury condominiums (2-5 bedrooms), ranging from 1500+square feet to 3500+ square feet, including ground-floor retail office space and lobby area. According to developer Michael Hecht, the contemporary design of the residences will include stone, timber posts, high-end interior finishes, 2 master suites, multiple fireplaces, and vaulted living areas up to 18-feet. This unparalleled mountain living experience will combine the red carpet of après ski and exclusive fireside bars with Western mountain soul.

"This is an ideal example of intelligent re-use of space," said Steve Lindstrom, Cascade Residences co-developer. "We're taking down two-thirds of this obsolete building and crafting innovation by feeding on the original infrastructure from the 80's and infusing a richer organic, mountain-contemporary design."

Sustainability will also be a major benefit of the structure enhancements. Cascade Residences will be more energy efficient, and the developer's goal is to keep the project environmentally conscious by seeking out building suppliers with preservation in mind. "We plan to repurpose and recycle many materials," says Hecht, Managing Director of Buffalo Properties Group, who is currently developing similar opportunities in Queenstown, New Zealand.

"The Cascade Residences will have new heating, air conditioning, and all of the benefits of owning without the headaches. You'll have concierge at your service for your every need from philharmonic tickets to delivered gourmet goods," says broker Mitchell. "And parents can indulge in quiet time while the kids entertain themselves at the Vail Cascade gym."

Warmth is the main theme within the amenities of the Cascade Residences including the sophisticated Fireside Bar, the 78,000-square-feet Aria Spa & Club, Chap's Grill & Chophouse (Colorado's only AAA Four-Diamond chophouse), the Cascade Village Café & Market, and the nearly 40,000 square feet of entertaining space. Each space is designed with access in mind without cold-air impact from the outdoors. The Cascade Village will appear rejuvenated, given an additional $30 million designated for the transformation of their lodging, spa and frontage road entrance improvements.

Vail Cascade Resort & Spa located next to the Residences is the only AAA Four-Diamond rated ski-in/ski-out resort in Vail. Celebrating its 25th Anniversary, the Vail Cascade Resort & Spa will commence this silver milestone by enhancing the guest experience and positioning itself as a leading meeting facility in the Vail Valley.

"Our creek side location is unlike any other resort in the Vail Valley. Many of the upgrades will infuse nature's elements into the guest experience so they can enjoy our authentic mountain location any time of year," says Greg Pate, managing director for the Vail Cascade Resort & Spa. "…guests can transfer their meetings from our high-tech conference facilities directly to the chairlift outside the door for a half-day of skiing."

Beyond the views, and state-of-the-art electronics system, the Conference Concierge on- property is designed to be an interactive means to communicate more efficiently with hotel guests.

"For me, it was one of the best experiences from start to finish I have had in my 20+ years of planning meetings," said NonProfit Resources, Inc., Cindy Challis. "…I cannot tell you how many compliments I received about the rooms, service, food quality, and overall appearance of the property… your employees made my attendees feel right at home."

"Their tireless efforts and "can-do" attitudes are remarkable," said Kathy Meyer, event coordinator for The Colorado Grand. "I thank you and commend you on a truly world-class experience."

Geographically-speaking, the western-village focus of Vail Resorts development will position Vail Cascade Village on the map as the Western portal of Vail Mountain. With creekside living, chair 20, Vail Cascade Residences, Vail Cascade Resort & Spa, and Chaps Grill & Chophouse, Vail's West End now exemplifies exceptional services, amenities and most importantly, exclusive living.
